Have you ever wanted to learn more about Islam? Wondered what goes on inside a mosque?
Preston City Mosque is extending a warm welcome to the people of Preston when it hosts an Open Day on Sunday March 3.
The mosque, in North Road, has a congregation of 50-100 people daily with around 300 people attending Friday prayers.

Mohammed Faisal, the Secretary of Preston City Mosque, said: “In the spirit of friendship and conversation we hope to give members of the local community an engaging insight into the life of the mosque and to promote greater understanding of Islam.
“We anticipate welcoming local people from all walks of life to visit the mosque and meet with its diverse Muslim congregation.”
The open day starts at 11am with midday prayers taking place at noon. Visitors are invited to observe the prayers, which will be followed by light refreshments and a tour of the mosque.
