Latest Preston weather forecast including weekend temperatures

Preston is expected to miss further snowfall according to forecasters.


Temperatures are set to barely get above freezing for the rest of the week and into the weekend.

But, a snow warning does not extend as far north as the city.

The Met Office has a number of warnings in place for bad weather conditions but the only one covering the city at the moment is:

  • A warning for ice and fog is in force until 11am on Thursday (31 January)

Here’s an hour-by-hour forecast for Thursday

10am – It’s still freezing

11am – We’re on 1 degrees!

12noon – Two degrees and some sunshine

1pm – Two degrees

2pm – Two degrees

3pm – Two degrees and still sunny spells

4pm – Dropping to one degrees

5pm – Cloud cover starts to gather

6pm – One degrees

7pm – Freezing point

8pm – And freezing point still all night through

9pm – There’s an 11mph breeze

10pm – Still freezing, and some cloud cover

11pm – A six per cent chance of some rain or snow

12midnight – Freezing


Morning – Some sunny spells, about one to two degrees

Afternoon – It’s three to four degrees

Evening – Cloud cover and dropping to freezing


Morning – Starts off at -1 degrees, but warming to three degrees

Afternoon – Highs of three degrees and sunny spells

Evening – Dropping to -2


Morning – A cold and bright start, gets above freezing by 10am

Afternoon – Three degrees, cloud cover and 15 per cent chance of a sleety shower

Evening – Two degrees
