Gang hunted after attempted cashpoint theft in Goosnargh

Three men are being hunted after attempting to steal a cashpoint near Preston.

Preston Police say they were called to the Londis and Post Office in Goosnargh.

The incident at 12.45am on Tuesday (8 January) saw the gang force their way into the store.

They tried to remove the freestanding cashpoint from the Whittingham Lane shop – successfully bundling it through the door but failing to take it away.

A silver Honda 4×4 type vehicle was used and the men left the scene in the Longridge direction.

DC Dan Armstrong of Preston Police said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or seen a vehicle matching the description in the area around the time of the offence. If you have any information that can help please let us know as soon as possible.”
