Three men are being hunted after a cash machine raid in Fulwood.

Preston Police were called at 11.40pm on Wednesday 16 January.

Residents nearby reported hearing a loud explosion shortly before midnight.

Police closed off Brookside Avenue and part of Garstang Road at the Sharoe Green Post Office.

Detective Inspector Nick Hills, of Lancashire Police, said: “An investigation is underway following a cash theft in Preston.

“Three men have caused significant damage to a cash machine before stealing a quantity of money and making off from the scene.

“We are appealing for information and are keen to speak to anyone who can help with our enquiries.

“Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the offence? Did you see a black Mercedes car being driven towards the scene or making off from the area at high speed?

“Any information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, could prove crucial to our investigation.”
