UPDATE: Police looking for driver after crash in Brook Street

Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle which burst into flames after hitting a wall in Brook Street.

At around 6am this morning (Tuesday January 15) the vehicle, a Renault car, collided with the wall of a building at the junction of Brook Street and Aqueduct Street, Plungington.

Emergency services were called to the scene but the driver had fled.

No-one is believed to have been injured in the collision.

Preston Police closed the road briefly while crews from Preston Fire Station worked to put out the flames.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said no one had been hurt in the crash or fire.

Police confirmed the driver had fled and an investigation is underway.
