An air ambulance has landed in Fulwood.

The North West Air Ambulance landed on the open space around 10am on Friday (4 January) off Tower Lane.

The extent of the injuries or the nature of the incident are not known at this stage.

The spokeswoman for the air ambulance confirmed it was called but was stood down on arrival, and any patient was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by road ambulance.
