A Preston community centre is employing Santa Claus himself to help with their food bank appeal.
AdvertisementGregson Green Community Centre’s Gathering Goodwill Gifts event will see Santa riding his sleigh around Hoghton and Coupe Green to collect food donations.
Santa, who successfully ran the collection last year, will be joined by his elves and Frozen’s Elsa. They will be passing the donations to Lostock Hall based food bank, Calvary Christian Fellowship. Volunteers will also follow the route, singing carols and helping Santa.
The donation wish list includes non-perishable, long dated and unopened items such as pasta and pasta sauces, rice and rice sauces, long life milk, tinned vegetables/beans, etc., cereal, cereal bars, biscuits, puddings, tea, coffee, sweets, chocolate, etc.
