Roast is offering free sandwiches on Christmas Day

Roast deli in Orchard Street is offering free Christmas sandwiches to the homeless and emergency service workers on Christmas Day.

The rotisserie opened its doors in February and has fed thousands of hungry Prestonians with its selection of chicken, sandwiches and sides.

Now as a thanks to its supporters, the takeaway is making a charitable gesture to the city.

A sign outside says: “As a thank you to Preston we will be feeding the homeless and emergency services hot Christmas sandwiches on Christmas Day between 11m and 2pm.”
