A Preston couple are celebrating after seeing major success in America’s World Strongest Series.
Luke Davies was cheering on his partnerĀ Rhianon Lovelace, both from Preston, as sheĀ secured the title for the Worlds Strongest Woman Under 64kg.
The pair both qualified for the contest in 2017 and Rhianon, 22, was back this year to prove herself again with Luke supporting her all the way.
The Official Strongman series features the World Championships for three weight classes ā one for men and one for women.
This year’s event took place at the Dorton Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday 7 – Sunday 9 of December.
Rhianon said: “It was incredible. A dream come true. I took the lead Event One, and held it all weekend, ending on an Eight Point Lead after Day 3. All the hard work paid off.”
The pair have recently opened a new strength gym in Preston called Kaos Strength Gym.

Luke said: “We’re both delighted. The goal was for her to win but obviously for it to actually happen don’t think it’s sunk in yet.
“Plan going forward is to continue to build our business on the back of her success. We opened a strength gym in Preston this March to help our training which is going great.
“Then to go back to World’s next year for Rhianon to defend her title and hopefully I’ll be back competing there next year!”
