What was Solita in Winckley Square is set for a new lease of life.

The Manchester-based restaurant group pulled out of the city after saying it couldn’t find anywhere to relocate to.

Solita had taken on what was the Olive Press in summer 2016 and faced uncertainty about its future before eventually closing in September this year.

Trinity Brasserie, Bar and Cocktail Lounge is due to open on the site in the city’s Georgian Square.

The team behind the venture told Blog Preston they hope to be open before Christmas.

In a statement they said: “After a long time we are now in a position to announce we are opening up Trinity.

“This will be a brasserie, bar and cocktail lounge.

“The bar and cocktail lounge will be open before Christmas and the brasserie will be open int eh New Year.

“We are taking over the site on Winckley Square previously occupied by Solita.”
