Lightfoot Green Lane

Plans have been submitted for 84 new homes in Fulwood.

The proposed scheme at Lightfoot Green Lane would include the replacement of a section of the Guild Wheel to accommodate the houses.

The development is planned for land bordered by the motorway, railway and Blundel Brook, with the Guild Wheel forming the final boundary.

Consultation is now underway and a letter will be sent to neighbours seeking their views.

The deadline for making any comments or objections is December 23.

Preston City Council’s planning committee will consider the plans, submitted by JA Jackson Contractors Ltd.

The plans are the latest in a number of developments to the north of Preston.

Last month it was announced St Martin’s Parish Hall site would be sold off and used to build a complex of retirement homes, and updated plans have been submitted to Preston City Council for development of the former Taste of Spice site at Broughton crossroads.

The full planning application can be seen on Preston City Council’s website.
