A line in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is set to be sung with extra gusto this evening due to a weather warning for Christmas Eve.

Fog or freezing fog is expected to blanket Preston and Lancashire from Monday (24 December) afternoon.

The Met Office has issued its lowest-level warning, yellow, for 3pm onwards on Christmas Eve through until 11am on Christmas Day.

Slower journey times are expected across the road and rail network due to the weather conditions.
