Man charged with Plungington Christmas Day stabbing

Police have charged a man with a stabbing which took place in Preston on Christmas Day.
Warren Givens, 44, of Blackpool Road, is accused of Section 18 wounding and possession of a bladed article.
Preston Police put Plungington on lockdown and armed police surrounded Givens home during Christmas Day morning.
It followed the stabbing of a 37-year-old man in Eldon Street during Christmas Day morning.
Police say the man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
A wanted search for Givens lasting several days took place.

Givens is due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Monday (31 December).
