Man bailed in Meadow Street sex attack investigation

A 19-year-old man from Preston has been released on bail following two attacks in the Meadow Street area of Deepdale.

Preston Police released an extensive CCTV appeal after between 10.10pm and 10.15pm on Tuesday 27 November both a 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old woman were attacked.

The 16-year-old was sexually assaulted close to the Catherine Beckett Community Centre.

The 19-year-old woman was approached and pushed to the ground on the car park of Home Bargains in Deepdale Road.

On Friday (14 December) police arrested a 19-year-old man of suspicion of sexual assault but he has now been released pending further enquiries.
