Police are appealing for witnesses after an attack outside a Preston city centre pub.

The attack took place in Church Street outside The Dog Inn around 1.30am on Saturday (8 December).

A 26-year-old man suffered a broken jaw and remains in hospital following an operation.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses to come forward in relation to a serious assault that occurred outside The Old Dog Inn on Church Street.”
