A Preston based sight loss charity is offering runners a chance to take part in next year’s popular Virgin London Marathon.
Local charity Galloway’s has four places up for grabs in the iconic event which takes place on April 28, 2019.
In exchange for raising a minimum of £1,350, runners will be offered full training plans and support to meet the fundraising target.
Last year, Stuart Clayton, CEO of the charity took part in the marathon and raised an impressive £6,000 for the charity.
He said: “I’d urge anybody who’s ever been inspired by the London Marathon, or ever thought ‘I’d like to do that’, to get in touch with the Galloway’s Fundraising team.
“The team will offer support on both training and fundraising and be with you every step of the way.
“You will be making a life-changing difference to local blind and partially sighted people whilst experiencing the challenge of a life time and a day that will stay with you forever.”
Money raised from the event helps to ensure that Galloway’s can continue to support thousands of people living with sight loss across Lancashire and Sefton.

Charlotte Carnell, Events Fundraiser at Galloway’s, said: “The marathon is a fantastic event to work on, supporting people not only to raise an incredible amount of money, but to accomplish a challenge of a lifetime.
“We offer support right from the moment people sign up, both in terms of fundraising and training and we’d be delighted to talk to anybody who’s been thinking of running the London Marathon.”
