Traffic in Fulwood has been congested due to a crash near the Barracks.

Watling Street Road, Fulwood, was blocked from around 3.30pm on Wednesday (19 December).

Two cars are involved and eyewitnesses said police and ambulance were on the scene.

Preston Police said the road was blocked but only minor injuries were due to have been received by those involved.

Long tailbacks around Royal Preston Hospital were reported at 5.30pm and the same in Watling Street Road.

There were earlier reports of the Black Bull junction traffic lights being out – but they were restored before 5pm.
