Preston school choirs will also perform and there will be appearances by Coronation’s Street Scott Wright and Hollyoaks Paul Burke.

The Baby Beat Appeal has been running for 31 years and raises funds for the two maternity units and neo-natal units at Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley Hospital.

Charity manager Karen Entwistle said: “The charity relies heavily on donations in order to support the three units with cutting edge equipment. Preston and Chorley hospitals have excellent facilities however Baby Beat’s funding allow the units to have access to the very latest equipment which supports pregnant ladies ante-natally, babies coming into this world and also babies requiring specialist care if born prematurely or poorly following delivery.”
