Cyclist was seriously injured in Bluebell Way collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist suffered serious injuries in a collision on Bluebell Way.

Emergency services were called to the B6242 at the junction with Lancashire Way at about 5.10pm yesterday (Monday, December 17th)

A Vauxhall Astra collided with a pedal cycle leaving the rider, a 47 year old man from Preston, with serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital where he remains.

Sgt Paul Maguire, of Tac Ops, said: “This collision has left a man with some serious injuries and I would appeal for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.”

Following the collision, the road was closed and traffic diverted to allow emergency services to attend to the incident.
