Boy in hospital after coming off bike close to Broadgate

An eight-year-old boy is being treated in hospital for a leg injury after a collision.

The driver of a Citreon DS3 and the boy, who was on his bike, collided at the bottom of Liverpool Road – close to Broadgate during Wednesday morning.

The boy came off his bike and was in the road when paramedics arrived.

He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

Preston Police said they were investigating the collision and at this stage no arrests had been made.
