A children’s author from Longton has been successful in publishing his latest children’s book.
Graham Fletcher released his first ever novel ‘Oleg the Giant’ on Friday 30 November.
Published by Olympia Publishers, the book tells the story of a junior giant who doesn’t fit in with his village.
He cries because he is lonely, but this floods the village.
The Lord Mayor tells Oleg that the villagers want a proper giant, who rips up trees and eats cows, Oleg knows he can’t be like that, so he leaves.
While he is away, a ‘proper’ giant, Igor, moves into the village and behaves exactly as a ‘proper’ giant should.
The villagers are horrified and the Lord Mayor wants Oleg’s help the save them from Igor.
The book is accompanied with beautiful illustrations by award winning illustrator Eva Sanchez-Gomez.
