Work is underway to improve road safety in Cottam Way following concern from residents.
Traffic calming is already underway, new road markings will be installed and footpaths will be upgraded.
A diversion will be in place in the Lea Road area over the weekends of November 17/18 and 24/25, when a diversion will be in place while work is carried out to improve the pavements.
The work is funded by housing developer Storey Homes as part of the overall works taking place in Cottam.

Residents raised concerns over the speed traffic was moving through the 30mph area during the planning stages of the new housing developments .
A spokesman for Lancashire County Council said: “The work taking place on Cottam Way is part of a range of highway improvements being delivered as part of the planning conditions for the Storey Homes site.
“The traffic calming and crossing facilities were requested by local residents during consultation at the time of the planning permission. Work has been progressing well on the traffic calming, with road markings remaining to be completed.
“Lea Road is due to be closed over the weekends of 17/18 November, and 24/25 November, with a diversion in place via Cottam Way and Tom Benson Way, for work to footways which are part of the same package of developer-funded improvements.”
