A spokesperson for the Northway Guiders said: “As you may think, we were devastated by this news, the Guide Hut was built¬†following endless fundraising by local people who had vision and dedication, and¬†the Guide Hut has been the Centre of Guiding activities for over 40 years providing¬†amazing opportunities and fun activities for the girls in this area.

“We have sought advice and support from the Girlguiding legal team in relation to¬†where we stand and how we work the PCC decision in the coming months.¬†We want to reassure you that Guiding will continue, weekly meetings will not¬†be affected, and we are proactively looking for alternative accommodation¬†for all Units to carry on the amazing activities Girlguiding has to offer.”
