Stabbing shuts road near Deepdale Shopping Park

Police are maintaining a scene watch after a stabbing in Deepdale.

A man remains in hospital with injuries to his hands and face according to Lancashire Police.

Officers were called shortly after 8pm on Saturday (17 November) to Romford Road, off Blackpool Road.

The scene near Deepdale Shopping Park, opposite Starbucks, has remained cordoned off throughout Sunday while house-to-house enquiries take place.

Video footage sent to Blog Preston shows detectives walking the road throughout Saturday evening conducting a torchlight search which uncovered two large knives from the scene.

Two men have been arrested although police at this stage have not released details about them.

Romford Road remains closed to traffic while investigations continue.
