Preston’s Santa Dash is returning and has a new location this year.
Red and white runners for the St Catherine’s Hospice event will this year be charging around Preston Docks.
Previously held in the hospice grounds in Lostock Hall this year’s event is a slightly longer run.
The three-mile run is planned for Sunday 9 December.
Director of community and income at the city’s hospice Lorraine Charlesworth said: “Our Santa Dash is increasingly popular and is a fantastic way to get into the festive spirit and support your local charity this Christmas.
“People support us year after year, so we thought it would make a nice change to host our Santa Dash in a brilliant new location around Preston Docks this December.
“The Santa Dash will be a slightly longer distance than in previous years too, so we hope that supporters old and new will be excited to join us for this fun-filled challenge, helping us to raise vital funds to provide our specialist palliative and end-of-life care at this special time of year and into 2019.”
The Santa Dash sets off at 11am from Maritime Way and anyone aged 12 and over can run.
