Motorcyclist taken to hospital after collision

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision on the A6 at Whittle-le-Woods.

Emergency services were called to the scene, close to Whittle-le-Woods primary school, shortly before 8am.

The road was closed while the air ambulance attended.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “We were called at 07:53 hours this morning to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorbike on Cow Well Lane in Chorley.

“The rider of the motorbike has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

“The road is currently closed.”
