Three youths who smashed three bus stops and a telephone box are in custody and their actions branded as “mindless” and “selfish”.
Preston Police were called to North Road and Lancaster Road.
The incident during Saturday (10 November) evening left glass shattered across pavements.
Officers from nearby Preston Police Station arrested the three youths involved.
They were found in possession of a golf club and other items.
A spokesman for Preston Police said: “The damage caused will disrupt service to innocent bus users, be a risk to public safety and cost the council money which could be spent on more valuable and important things in our society.
“We will never understand why these individuals felt the need to deface the city in which they live, to achieve nothing.”
