A major road between Grimsargh and Longridge has reopened after a crash.
Preston Police closed the road shortly after 7am on Saturday (24 November).
Accident investigation work took place into a ‘serious RTC’.
Inspector Steve Bradshaw confirmed one man had been taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’.
Police confirmed one car was involved in a crash around 6am on Saturday, it is understood to have left the road and narrowly missed hitting a house.
The police helicopter had been supporting them in a accident investigation work and the road, from Whittingham Lane through to the Douglas Lane roundabout was due to be in place until their collision investigation work had finished.
Drivers were being advised to use alternative routes, through Goosnargh, between Preston and Longridge. Bus routes were also being diverted away from Grimsargh.
Brabiner Lane was extremely congested from 9am onwards as this picture shows.
A minor crash has also been reported in Brabiner Lane around 9.30am.
Preston Road fully reopened shortly before 1pm.
