A Fulwood nurse has been recognised for her tireless work in dementia care.
Kathryn Penrith was one of five finalists to be named on the shortlist forĀ best dementia nurse specialist at the National Dementia Care Awards.
Kathryn works as a consultant Admiral nurse and dementia expert for health and social care charity Making Space. Her role involvesĀ giving practical and emotional care and support to families living with dementia.

Kathryn worked as an NHS nurse in West Yorkshire for 18 years before becoming a dementia specialist. She is currently studying part-time at the University of Central LancashireĀ for a Professional Doctorate in Health.

“She works tirelessly to ensure Making Space’s services are at the cutting edge of dementia best practice, and never runs out of energy or compassion.”
