Preston got its first glimpse inside a new pie and ale eatery on Sunday.
Otter’s Pocket, located at Winckley Street in the unit previously occupied by How the Other Half Live, is the latest venture from the team that brought you We Don’t Give A Fork and Finos.
Mark O’Rourke, owner of the group, said: “The launch went really well and We’ve had great feedback on our handmade pies.”
The menu includes ten lines of different ales for punters to try and a number of different pies to get stuck into.
Arguably the most notable inclusion to the menu is the butter pie. It has been aptly named as ‘Alreet Cha’.
There is 50% off all food until the end of November.
We announced in October that Preston would have a new pie restaurant and we have been along to try some of them.
Mark said at the time of the initial announcement: “There will be ten lines for ale and freshly made pies that will blow your mind.
“I think serving a butter pie in Preston is a must. There will be lamb, venison, rabbit, steak and chicken.

“There will also be vegan pies and we can do gluten-free if given enough notice.”
Since 2017, the openings from this group have given Preston some of its most exciting places to grab food.
In June of that year, We Don’t Give A Fork opened in Guildhall Street and raised the bar for quality of burgers in the city centre.
In February of this year, they experimented with fine-dining when they brought Preston Pop Up to the site that was until recently Ham and Jam.
Most recently, in August, Finos Tapas opened at St Wilfrid Street.
