Two granddaughters have taken to social media to appeal for the return of their grandad’s beloved cutlery set.

A 24-carat gold plated 70 piece cutlet set was taken from a house in Ashton-on-Ribble.

The property in Egerton Road was targeted and the set manufactured by Colingen of Germany was stolen.
