One of Preston’s newer landmarks will disappear in the coming weeks as work starts on revamping a city retail park store.

The Range which faces into London Road and Queen Street is seeing a major refit.

It will add a cafe and a new look frontage along London Road – but the glass pyramid, a hangover from when it was Homebase – is to be removed.

Work began on Thursday to begin the work.

The new cafe is due to face into London Road and be glass-fronted.
