Traffic in Preston was brought to a standstill yesterday (October 29) following a crash on the M6.
There was a road traffic collision between junction 31 and 30 on the southbound carriageway which resulted in a lane being closed.
The incident caused a number of issues across the city along with significant delays on the M6 southbound itself.
The M55 eastbound was affected while those diverting via Garstang Road and Blackpool Road also experienced an average speed of around 5mph.
Emergency services have now confirmed to us that three people were treated as a result of the collision.
One patient, around 40-years-old was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with a back injury.

Two patients were assessed but discharged at the scene.
A statement from North West Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 15:38 to an incident on the M6
“One female patient approx. 40 years old was taken to RPH suffering from a back injury, two further patients were assessed and discharged on scene.”
