A further two people have been arrested in connection with a ‘targeted shooting’ in the St Matthews area.
A shotgun blast to a door in Browning Road during Tuesday (23 October) has triggered a major police investigation.
No one was hurt in the incident around 2am but it left extensive damage to the property in the road off Ribbleton Avenue.
Preston Police say they have now arrested a 30-year-old man and 20-year-old man, both from Preston, on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A 38-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, both from Preston, remain in custody after being arrested on Tuesday evening.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard McCutcheon of Lancashire Police said: “Although we have arrested people in connection with our investigation, our enquiries are still on-going and I would continue to appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious or who has information which could assist to get in touch.
“I would like to reassure the community that this incident was not directed at the general public and appears to be a targeted attack.”
