Firefighters remain on the scene in Ribbleton after a fire involving a truck.
Residents near Belmont Avenue, off Ribbleton Avenue, reported hearing three ‘loud bangs’ and then seeing smoke coming from the Iveco vehicle.
The road remains closed as Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service tackled the fire in the vehicle, which is now out.
The fire started around 9.40pm on Monday (1 October).

A spokeswoman for the fire service said the fire is believed to be suspicious and an arson investigation will be launched.
