Travellers have set up camp on private land on a street in Bamber Bridge, it has been confirmed.
South Ribble Borough Council has issued a statement on the subject after reporters of travellers on the land at Club Street.
The owner of the land is aware that the travellers are there and the travellers have stated to the council that they intend to leave before the end of today (October 30).
There are currently four caravans and vehicles at the site.

A spokesperson for South Ribble Borough Council said: “We have received reports of a small encampment of travellers on private land at Club Street in Bamber Bridge.
“There are currently four caravans and vehicles at the site. We have completed a site assessment and their intentions are to move on by the end of today.
“The owner of the land is aware of their presence and is taking the appropriate steps to have them removed. We will let you know of any updates as and when they occur.”
