A community initiative that aims to make sure nobody spends Christmas Day alone is happening again this year near Leyland.
The Find a Friend Christmas Dinner is available to any older person who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day.
The organisers say they aim to make it an unforgettable day for guests, with a three-course Christmas dinner, bingo, games, singing and more.
The dinner is completely free of charge, and free transport is provided around Preston and South Ribble.

Local man Lewis Buller set up the Find a Friend Christmas Dinner three years ago. With help from Karen Taylor, who runs the Facebook page and arranges gift donations, and Karen Peddie, who drives the minibus, the event has grown each year.
Last year over 30 older people were looked after, and this year the initiative is aiming to reach around 40 people.
A Just Giving page has been set up to raise £450 towards the cost of the event, including the food, transport and gifts.
If you know an older person who would like to join in this year’s festivities, get in touch with Lewis on 07855 878610 or via the Find a Friend Christmas Dinner Facebook page, and arrangements can be made.
Anyone who would like to help on Christmas day can turn up at the venue from 11.30am.
