A man is being hunted by police after a pensioner was robbed at knifepoint in the Broadgate area of the city.

Update: Police said Battiniello was found at the Docks on Sunday morning and arrested.

Preston Police have released a picture of Dominic Battiniello in connection with the incident.

A man and woman forced entry to the property in Wolseley Road around 4am on Sunday 16 September.

The homeowner, a man in his 70s, had a knife held to his throat by the man while the woman searched the house and took jewellery and cash.

Battiniello is now wanted by police after enquiries were made.

The 26-year-old is described as white, 5’8″, medium build with short, dark-brown hair.

Police say he has links to Lea, Ashton and Preston city centre as well as Blackpool.

Sergeant Scott Archer said: “Battiniello is wanted for a serious offence.

“He may be in possession of a knife and we would advise people if they see him, not to approach him, but instead call police immediately.

“Please provide a description of Battiniello’s clothing and whereabouts if seen.”
