An accident on the M6 earlier this afternoon is having a significant knock-on effect across the city.
There was a road traffic collision between junction 31 and 3o on the southbound carriageway which resulted in a lane being closed.
This is now causing trouble in a number of locations across the city.
The M6 southbound is currently experiencing issues as a result of that earlier closure. This is also affecting the M55 eastbound.
The result is that, as people seek diversions, Garstang Road in Fulwood now has an average speed of five mph and extensive delays for anyone travelling.
This is also causing an issue on Blackpool Road.
