A pensioner remains in hospital after a crash in Freckleton on Tuesday (9 October) lunchtime.
The 90-year-old man from Lostock Hall suffered a bleed on the brain and a suspected fractured skull.
The cyclist was on Lower Lane when he was involved in a collision with a Skoda car at the junction with Preston New Road (A584).
Lancashire Police closed the road for four hours while investigation work took place which caused long delays to Riversway at Preston Docks.
The crash took place around 1.55pm and the Skoda driver, an 80-year-old woman from Freckleton, was not injured.

Police want anyone with dashcam footage to come forward, or anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Sergeant Oliver Jones said: “An investigation is underway following a serious road traffic collision in Freckleton.
“We have spoken to several motorists following the incident but would urge anyone with further information, in particular dashcam footage of what took place, to get in touch.”
