Lane Ends junction shut as firefighters cut people free from car

Two people are being cut from an over-turned car at a busy Preston junction.

Preston Police have closed off Lane Ends, Ashton-on-Ribble, while emergency services work at the scene.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said a car was on its side and two people trapped in it. They have now been cut free.

The car is in Tulketh Brow and the crash took place shortly after 3pm on Monday (1 October). The junction was clear by 4.30pm.

North West Ambulance Service said they had an advanced paramedic at the scene and the injuries were expected to be minor.

Police said they were dealing with reports of a car over-turning.
