A large amount of cannabis was seized by Lancashire Constabulary in Preston overnight.
Police have become aware of activity thanks in part to community concerns – particularly in the St Matthews, Ribbleton and Callon areas.
Operation Sirius targets organised crime across Preston.
An abandoned car was searched as part of their work on Operation Sirius in these areas and police recovered a substantial amount of cannabis.
The incident was reported by police themselves at around 1.40am this morning (October 30).

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “As a result of pro-active policing in the Callon, Ribbleton and St. Matthew’s areas of Preston due to recent community concerns about gang-related crime & disorder, an abandoned car was searched and a substantial amount of cannabis was found within.”
