Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was injured following a collision in Penwortham.
Officers were called around 6.30pm on Sunday (October 7) after a cyclist had been involved in a collision with a vehicle in Cop Lane.
The vehicle left the scene with the cyclist, a 67-year-old man from Penwortham, suffering serious hip, leg and facial injuries. He was later taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
Despite numerous enquiries officers have yet to identify the driver or vehicle involved.
Lancashire Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.

Sgt Oliver Jones, of Lancashire Police, said: “We are investigating the circumstances of a collision in Penwortham where a cyclist was injured.
“The vehicle involved left the scene and we want to locate the driver as soon as possible.
“If you saw what happened please contact us.”
