CCTV picture released after sex assault in Ingol on a 10-year-old girl

Police have released a CCTV picture in connection with a sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl.

Police want to speak to a man after a girl was touched inappropriately in Ingol.

Around 4.30pm on Monday 17 September, the victim was walking on Hornsea Close when she was approached by a man.

The man is said by police to have spoken to her briefly before touching her inappropriately and making off from the scene.

Following CCTV enquiries, police would like to speak to the man pictured on the CCTV in connection with the investigation.

Update: Police have now identified the man in the CCTV image and he will be spoken with in due course

Detective Constable Abid Majid, of Lancashire Police, said: “Do you know who this man is? We want to identify him in connection with a sexual assault investigation. If you can recognise him, please call police immediately.”
