Boy hit by car in Plungington

A boy was treated by paramedics after being hit by a car in Plungington.

Preston Police closed Eldon Street during Wednesday (10 October) evening to deal with the incident.

The boy, age unknown, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Delays were caused around 6.30pm in Plungington Road as motorists slowed at the scene.

Police said no further information was available.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said a young boy was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with head and leg injuries. His injuries are not described as ‘major trauma’.
