Bonfire Night 2018: Firework displays in and around Preston

Bonfire night is fast approaching so you may be wondering where the best place is to see the sky light up.

Fulwood’s popular firework display is back again.

Fireworks, bonfire and a funfair will return on Monday 5 November at the rugby football club located on Lightfoot Lane.

Food and bar will be available throughout the night.

Gates open from 6pm, feel the warmth of the bonfire from 7pm and cast your eyes to the skies for fireworks at 8pm.

Advanced tickets are £5 per person and £16 for a family ticket, including two adults and up to two children.

Tickets on the door are £6 per person and £19 for a family ticket.

Children aged 2 years and under get in free.

Archbishop Temple High School:

With last year’s event being the most successful yet, Archbishop Temple’s PTA is hosting another firework event on Friday 2 November.

Families are invited to attend the event, starting at 6.30pm at the school.

Live music and food will be provided including a wide selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food choices such as pies, hot dogs, burgers, parched peas, veggie curries, drinks, cakes and sweets.

The bonfire will be lit at 6.45pm and the firework display will begin at 7.30pm.

Discounted tickets for families and individuals are available to buy online now.

Discounted tickets will be available to buy in school from Monday 8th October 2018.

Tickets are £5 per person on the gate.

Middleforth Green:

Penwortham Town Council are bring the annual fireworks display back to Middleforth Green.

The free event is taking place on Pear Tree Park on Monday 5 November from 6.30pm.

The fireworks will be starting at 7.30pm.

Guys Thatched Hamlet:

‘Fabulous Fireworks’ will be held at Guys Thatched Hamlet in Bilsborrow.

Music, rides and attractions will be available from 12noon.

Uncle Martin’s Punch and Judy Magic Show will start at 5pm.

You can enjoy street food and a barbecue from 2pm.

The evening fireworks will start at 7pm.

Admission is free and it is advised to attend early to avoid disappointment.

Huntley’s Gate Farm, Salmesbury:

Huntley’s is inviting you to join them for bonfire night.

On Monday 5 November, from 4pm, the farm is welcoming families for a spectacular firework display.

Tickets are on sale at the Foodhall.

Gibbon Bridge Hotel, Chipping:

Get down to the Gibbon Bridge Hotel on Green Lane for a bonfire, fireworks and hotpot supper, along with a special accommodation rate.

On Sunday 4 November, from 5pm – 11pm, adults can attend for £25 and children for £15. Payment is needed in advance.

Or stay over from £100 per room per night for bed and breakfast with up to two children staying for free in the room.

Thornton Hall Country Park, Skipton:

On Saturday 3 November, join the Thornton Hall Country Park for its annual Bonfire and Fireworks Extravaganza.

Included will be a huge bonfire, fireworks extravaganza to music, live entertainment, a bar and hot food and drink available to purchase.

The event is ticketed with adult prices at £10, children age three or over at £8, under three at £5 and under one for free.

Gregson Green’s Charity Bonfire and Fireworks, Hoghton

Get down to Gregson Lane Community Centre and Playing Fields for a charity bonfire and fireworks display.

Hosted by Gregson Green on Saturday 3 November, gates will open at 5.30pm.

The bonfire will be lit at 6pm, with fireworks from 7pm.

Refreshments will be available, with a licensed bar, hot drinks, soup, burgers, hotdogs, chips, Parkin and treacle toffee.

Adults can attend for £4, and children for £2.

You can buy tickets online or pay on the door.
