Rankings of the North West’s top universities have shown UCLan slipping down the table.
According to The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019, Lancaster University came out on top as the best in the region.
UCLan were ranked at number ten, following the like of Manchester, Liverpool, Liverpool Hope, Edge Hill, Manchester Metropolitan, Chester, Liverpool John Moores and Salford.
Located in the heart of Preston, the university was ranked nationally at 105, which shows a slip in the scale from last years ranking of 93.

Student experience was graded at 76.5 per cent based on the 2018 National student survey of Student experience and the number of students recorded in professional jobs or graduate-level study was 76.9 per cent.
UCLan Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Liz Bromley. said: “Whilst we are always looking to improve our rankings, it is important to remember that the annual league tables all use different criteria to make their assessments. The latest figures from the Higher Education Statistics Agency show that 95.5% of UCLan graduates are in employment or further study six months after graduation, the University’s best performance to date.
“In the latest QS World Rankings, the university has been awarded the maximum five-star rating in the areas of; teaching, employability, internationalisation, facilities, social responsibility and inclusiveness.
