A group of travellers have moved on from playing fields on the edge of Preston.

They had previously been on Moor Park before moving to Fishwick.
Preston City Council said the traveller group had moved on from London Road during Thursday (20 September). Numerous reports say the traveller group have now moved to The Hills site in Grimsargh.
A spokeswoman for the city council said: “The group of travellers left Fishwick nature reserve on Thursday morning, following service of the possession order.
“We are currently removing the waste and fixing the barrier and bollards at the site. We will then inspect the football pitch to assess the extent of the damage.”
