A restaurant chain has announced it will be closing down in Preston.
Solita in Winckley Square had been up for sale while they looked for new premises.
Now the Northern Quarter-based restaurant group has said it will be shutting in the city while it continues to look for new premises.
In a statement posted to Facebook they said: “We’ve taken the regretful decision to close our Preston, Winckley Square site; we looked for an alternative site on Fishergate but unfortunately we were unsuccessful in finding a site that met our size and location requirements.
“We’re still actively looking for an alternative site and hopefully will be back in Preston very soon.”
The restaurant opened in July 2016 after taking on the former Olive Press restaurant and refitting it.
It has closed with immediate effect on Monday (17 September).

Solita had gathered a four-star rating on TripAdvisor in its two-and-a-bit years in the city.
In April this year it was confirmed the Americana-themed restaurant was up for sale and in June the restaurant owners confirmed they were actively looking for new premises in the city.
