Ribbleton primary school shut as man hit by car

Police have closed a road in Ribbleton due to a ‘serious collision’.
Preston Police are advising motorists to avoid the area while the incident is dealt with.
Update: Van driver dies in incident at gates of primary school
The crash took place around 7.45am on Tuesday (18 September).
Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Primary School has been closed and will remain closed throughout Tuesday.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the collision involved a pedestrian – an adult man – and one car.

Motorists are asked to allow extra time for their journeys in Ribbleton this morning.
